Walk-In
Freezers
Sphinx
Panel and Door, Inc. walk-in freezers are
generally built over pre-laid insulated concrete
floors or slabs.
Advice on insulated concrete floors and the
creation of the proper sub-floor vapor barriers
and moisture drainage systems is available
from Sphinx Panel and Door, Inc.
Heavy duty freezer floor panels are available.
The foamed-in place polyurethane freezer wall
and ceiling panels are generally 5 inches
to 6 inches thick.
Standard panel skins are 26 gauge G90 embossed
galvanized steel, USDA white 26 gauge G90
embossed galvanized steel, or 26 gauge stainless
steel.
Other surfaces are available. Freezers ten
feet wide or less (and any length) can be
free standing without ceiling support, and
can be built almost anywhere inside or outside.
Freezers
wider than ten feet will require inside support
from an internal load beam design, or outside
overhead support, generally from an existing
structure.
Outdoor walk-in freezers wider than ten feet
can be built under the equivalent of a sloped
pole building, which will provide freezer
roof support, as well as rain and snow run-off.
Rubber roofs are available for covering flat
roof applications.
All freezer doors have
heated casings. We install all freezers,
and freezer vapor barrier integrity is emphasized.
Sphinx Panel and Door, Inc. assembles freezers
on the job sight to customer specifications.
